14 FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS RECOGNISED AT THE JUST CONCLUDED WOMEN ENTREPRENEUR AWARDS IN SINGAPORE
The second edition of the Women Entrepreneur Awards (WEA) was held on June 11 at The Ritz Carlton Singapore, where 14 female entrepreneurs in Singapore were honoured for their contributions to the community.
Of the 14 women, Dr Gan See Khem was accorded the highest honour – the Supernova award – by Guest of Honour, Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister, Ministry of Manpower and Second Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs. This was in recognition of her well-established business in the health sector, her contributions as an active figure in the public services, as well as her work with the Malaysia-Singapore Business Council.
The Women Entrepreneur Awards was started with the mission to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of women in Singapore and has announced that it will be expanding into ASEAN by 2019 with a vision to empower women owners in Asia, through the creation of WEA Club where all winners will join the club to provide a closer network for support and inspiration to emerging future entrepreneurs.
