The ability to transform your life lies in something as simple as the mind-set you adopt. We are all born with the ability to imagine limitless possibilities. Our minds possess the tools we need to build our destiny and achieve our fullest potential. Changing our beliefs, both conscious and unconscious by even the smallest amount can have a profound impact in nearly every aspect of our lives. Now Consider this. Google, one of the worlds best-run companies formally allows 20% of their employees’ time to think. Warren Buffett, the CEO of the fourth-largest company in the country, isn’t as busy as you are.
By his own estimate, he has spent 80% of his career reading and thinking. I have spent the past 3 years studying what makes successful people do what they do. What drives them to keep pushing forward even in the most traumatic of situations? What characteristics do successful people have that makes them continue to break boundaries and achieve amazing feats whiles others decide to stand by the road side of life and watch opportunities continue to pass them by. My research has led me to speak with some of Africa’s most successful entrepreneurs in my job as the West Africa correspondent for the prestigious Forbes Africa magazine.
I have had one on one interviews with the continents millionaires and billionaires and I have asked all of them one simple question, how did they overcome their most challenging day in business? The Answer? The power of the Mind. So we decided it was time to change the way our Youngpreneurs think. No longer would they be defined by their circumstances and become victims of environments they did not choose. Through the Mindset Reorientation program, we empower our Youngpreneurs to think and visualize their future differently.
A future where everything is possible and within reach. Our Design thinking methodology is a proven and repeatable problem solving protocol that any entrepreneur can employ to achieve big results. We empower our Youngpreneurs to learn how to spot opportunities in their communities. Then we combine creative and critical thinking that allows information and ideas to be organized, decisions to be made, situations to be improved and knowledge to be gained. Its in short a mindset focused on solutions and not the problem.
